i actually think "surface level" friendships are very healthy. not everyone in your life has to be your ride or die. some friends are for the gym. some are for going out. some are just for complaining about work or bureaucracy. when you stop expecting everyone to be your everything, the disappointment disappears. those deep convos and connections are for the 2-3 people closest to you

people like to make fun of this sentiment but have you heard the things the average man considers "deep" or "insightful?" at best you're getting repackaged dollar store stoicism.

Benefits of drinking: -hilarious situational laughs that add years to your life -being 7 beers deep in the Sun with your friends realizing you almost forgot the point of life is to have fun with people who make you happy -3 bottles of wine with your wife then smashing all night without a condom (lasting 975% longer) -heartwarming couples dinners hugging goodnight thinking ‘I’m so glad we did this’ -concerts with your girlfriend and friends making lifelong memories favorite songs slapping mythologically -backyard party watching your girlfriend hit it off with your Aunt while your friends and Uncles plan a road trip to a Big 10 football game “Hanging By A Moment” by Lifehouse jamming in the background wanting to freeze time and live this day every day the rest of your life realizing ‘wow life is a miracle I’m so lucky to be alive’

Getting yo shit together requires a deep level of honesty with yourself, you gotta be able to look at yourself in the mirror & be willing to accept flaws & behavior that's not allowing you to grow , self evaluation is difficult but it's extremely necessary.

There is a certain type of person everywhere now, especially online. He consumes endless information every day: philosophy, psychology, productivity, spirituality, neuroscience, business, self-improvement, history. He knows a little about everything and deeply experiences almost nothing. His entire identity becomes built around understanding instead of living. He watches videos about confidence instead of speaking confidently. Reads about discipline instead of becoming disciplined. Studies relationships instead of learning how to love. Consumes motivational content instead of taking action. He feels intelligent because he is constantly mentally stimulated. But stimulation is not transformation. Most of the time, knowledge becomes emotional protection. Reality is unpredictable. Reality humiliates. Reality exposes weakness. Books and ideas do not. Inside information, he can continue imagining himself as intelligent, deep, insightful, different from ordinary people. So he remains trapped in preparation. He constantly feels as if he is "becoming" someone, while his real life remains strangely untouched. He develops sophisticated language for problems he never confronts directly. He can explain human behavior beautifully while being unable to handle ordinary discomfort, rejection, uncertainty, loneliness, or risk. He slowly turns life into observation instead of participation. The internet rewards this personality heavily. He receives validation for sounding aware rather than becoming capable. Eventually, he begins confusing self-analysis with growth and information with wisdom. But beneath the intelligence usually exists the same thing: fear. Fear of failure. Fear of embarrassment. Fear of reality answering back. Because action destroys fantasy. The moment he truly acts, he can no longer hide inside potential.

CORRECT ME IF I'M WRONG BUT, As I turn 43 this year, I have realised, as a man, no one cares about you. Not your wife. Not your family. Not your friends. Not your workmates. Nobody. People act like they care, but deep down, they don't. You are on your own. Always on your own.

BREAKING: Karmelo Anthony broke down in tears after the verdict was read, crying and shaking as his defense attorney comforted him, @Brooketaylortv reports. Anthony could now face up to life in prison. During the sentencing phase, Anthony's mother pleaded with the jury for mercy, describing him as her firstborn son and expressing her deep love for him through tears. Prosecutors cross-examained her by asking whether she could still maintain a relationship with her son if he were behind bars — unlike the Metcalf family. The same jury will now decide how long Anthony remains in prison. | @WillCainShow

Earth is still bound to the Late Cenozoic Ice Age, and our planet's average global temperature still hovers around a very livable 15°C. This is far below the world's long-term planetary average of 18°C to 24°C - seen throughout most of Earth's biological history. It makes the idea of a global warming crisis seem out of sync with reality. Despite four decades of continuous climate alarmism, roughly 10% of the Earth's total land area remains permanently capped by glacial ice, which covers 15 million square kilometers (5.8 million square miles). That is nearly a third of its extent during the peak of the Last Glacial Maximum (26,000 to 19,000 years ago), when continental ice sheets reached their historical zenith. The Antarctic ice sheet remains the largest and thickest body of ice on the planet, extending up to 4.8 kilometers (about 3 miles) deep. It holds roughly 90% of global ice volume and accounts for 85% of total glacial land cover. Spanning 14 million square kilometers (5.4 million square miles), Antarctica alone makes up 8.3% of Earth's total land surface. A basic geographical reality is often forgotten: land comprises a mere 28% of the planet's surface. All human cities, towns, and infrastructure combined occupy just 1% to 3% of that land (while deserts take up 33% and forests 31%). We live on an ocean world, and waters cover 72% of the globe to an average depth of 2.3 miles. Crucially, the oceans hold 86% of the global carbon reservoir and absorb over 90% of retained thermal energy. By contrast, the atmosphere holds a fraction of a percent of each. The oceans—not human industrial activity—serve as the true long-term regulatory engine for atmospheric carbon dioxide and global climate stability. The current Quaternary Glaciation is part of an ice age cycle that began 34 million years ago with the thermal isolation and glaciation of Antarctica, later intensified by the closure of the Isthmus of Panama and orbital variations (Milankovitch cycles). Carbon dioxide was not the driver of these immense shifts. All of human civilisation, agriculture and technological progress has unfolded within a brief, warm respite: the Holocene interglacial period, which began just 11,700 years ago. Yet for 40 years, the narrative has been dominated by a campaign driven by an unaccountable bureaucratic authority—the United Nations—pushing an agenda of global control. The promised catastrophe of runaway, unprecedented warming never arrived.

🚨🎙️ Sergio Ramos on Casemiro calling Messi the “God of Football”: “I understand being a Real Madrid fan—you feel like there are things you’re not allowed to say. But how long can you keep fooling yourself when deep down, we all know the truth? Lionel Messi is the exact reason you should live life on your own terms. He speaks ill of no one. He disrespects neither teammates nor rivals. He is the best to ever do it—yet he still has dedicated haters. If anyone should have none, it’s Messi. But because of his unmatched success, they still come. Do what you want—people will always talk. A life lived worrying about what others say is a wasted one. You know deep down it’s better to stand with him and share the pitch with him than to be on the side of hate. He is the greatest of all time—whether you like it or not.”
