    Smart follow & auto-unfollow

    Following the right people earns follow-backs, and a follow-back turns your next DM from cold to warm. XAutoDM runs both halves on conservative caps built for account health.

    Why follow before you DM

    A follow is a cheap, non-intrusive first touch. Some percentage follow back, and a person who follows you is dramatically more likely to open a message and reply to it than a stranger. It also builds the account itself, which matters for how every future DM is received.

    Growth actions live in the Growth section of the app, separate from campaigns. They use the same accounts and the same safety philosophy, but they do not send DMs.

    Smart follow

    Pick an account and an audience within it. There are four to choose from:

    A profile's followers

    The most common choice. Follow the audience of an account your buyers already follow.

    Who a profile follows

    Often higher quality and much smaller — the people an authority account chose to follow back.

    People posting about a subject. Broader, and worth tightening with a specific phrase.

    Smaller is usually better
    "Who a profile follows" tends to beat "a profile's followers". It is a curated list rather than an open one, so the hit rate is higher even though the pool is far smaller.

    Auto-unfollow non-followers

    A second rule cleans up after the first. After a wait you choose, it unfollows people this rule followed who did not follow back, so your ratio does not drift.

    You set the wait

    Default is 3 days, and the minimum is 2. You cannot unfollow someone before they have had a fair chance to notice you.

    It checks first, every time

    Before each unfollow it confirms the person did not follow back. If that signal is unavailable for any reason, it skips rather than guesses.

    It will not drop a real follower
    This is the failure mode of most unfollow tools and the reason for the check above. Erring toward skipping means the occasional person stays followed a bit longer, which is a far better outcome than cutting someone who followed you back.

    Safe daily caps

    These are ban-safety numbers, not budget limits. No setting and no amount of credits raises them.

    A newly connected account runs at half these numbers for its first 14 days, then ramps to the full cap. Every action also carries human-like jitter rather than firing on a fixed clock. More detail in safe sending and pacing.

    What it costs

    Follows and unfollows each cost 10 credits per action. At a verified account's cap of 30 follows a day that is 300 credits daily, which is worth knowing before you leave a rule running for a month. See credits and billing.

    Create a Smart follow rule

    Growth → New rule → Smart follow. Pick the account, the audience type, and the target.

    Set a daily cap you are comfortable with

    Starting below the maximum is entirely reasonable, especially on a newer account.

    Add the unfollow rule a few days later

    There is nothing to clean up on day one. Add it once the first follows have had time to convert.
