Definition
A Tweet is a message posted on Twitter/X containing text, photos, videos, and links. Originally limited to 140 characters, Tweets were expanded to 280 characters in 2017. For Twitter Blue/X Premium subscribers, Tweets can be up to 4,000 characters in length. Tweets appear in the timeline of users who follow the account that posted them and can be replied to, liked, or retweeted.
