Impressions on Twitter/X represent the total number of times a tweet has been viewed by users. Since December 2022, this metric is publicly visible on all tweets as 'Views.' Impressions count each time a tweet appears on someone's screen, whether in their timeline, search results, or embedded elsewhere. Multiple views from the same user count as multiple impressions. This metric is important for understanding a tweet's reach beyond just engagement metrics like likes and retweets. For brands and creators, impressions help measure the total audience exposure of their content, even if not everyone engages with it.
